Rule of Three
A solo exhibition by Youmna Habbouche
August 24 - September 19, 2009

Youmna Habbouche’s exhibition consists of several series of triptychs, illustrating various details of the artist’s daily life and the world around her. Her subjects include scenes of everyday life in Lebanon (and other places), natural landscapes, urban views, portraits, popular manifestations, and others…

The format of the triptych allows Youmna the possibility to create unexpected alliances, whether on the level of her photographs’ themes, or on that of the colors, textures, and spatial disposition of her subjects. In this manner, she successfully manages to connect random-seeming elements in a dense, harmonious composition.
